Strategic Wine and Beverage Marketing

Wine and other beverage drinks are undoubtedly among the widely marketed products in the consumer market. Posters, billboards, television and radio are among the popular tools used by wine and beverage companies to promote their products. Another excellent marketing strategy they used to attract potential buyers is free tasting. In the wine sector for instance, wine tasting is a common event. And with wine being quite a luxury beverage, many people just can never let the chance of being able to try different wines pass.

Although it is easy to see that this type of guerilla marketing strategy is cannot capable of reaching a wide number of audience, like what the TV and radio adverts are capable of doing, wine tasting is a very cost-effective scheme, especially if you are targeting a local market. This strategy works well for small wine makers that are retailing their own wine products. It does not only strategically position the brand in the heart of its local patrons, but is also creating some sort of attraction for tourist visiting the town where the winery is located.
